Can someone explain Vegas Odds for me?

The are say the odds for Palin divorce are +200 for the divorce and -500 for them not to get divorced.

If I placed a $1000 bet for them to divorce what could I win?

If I placed a $1000 bet for them to stay together what could I win?
Ok so for a -200 bet I would win $500 I guess. If that is right, then I think I understand it.

My sources in Vegas say, they’re are giving 8/1 odds on Hillary Bill divorce by end of 2008, should I take it?
Filing for divorce, not divorce finalization
8/1 in one place
12/1 in another place
I like long shots, what do you think?
