An executive for the M Resort has been named the new president and CEO of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
South San Francisco resident Ralyn Lee and some of her friends have been looking forward to a Las Vegas getaway since February. She and three girlfriends booked reservations at Wynn Las Vegas and planned a two-night stay and maybe a visit to the hotel’s spa.
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino posted a loss of $26.5 million during the first quarter of 2010 as expenses increased at the newly expanded property, it reported today in a regulatory filing. That loss compares to a $24.3 million loss during the same period of 2009.
Earnings more than doubled at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino during the first quarter, one of the property’s joint-venture partners reported today.
The company that operates the Fremont Street Experience sued the owner of the Plaza hotel Monday for alleged nonpayment of a required monthly assessment to help manage the downtown attraction.
Las Vegas Sands announced today that after receiving approval of its table game application and renewal of its slots license at its Pennsylvania property, it will resume work on its 300-room hotel tower.
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino said it narrowed its losses by about 34 percent last year, according to a filing today with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled that Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino President Randy Kwasniewski died Tuesday of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. A family friend and spokesman expressed sorrow and asked for privacy on behalf of the family.
